When creating a Canvas quiz, a teacher should be aware of the quiz settings as to when students can view correct answers.

Recommendation

A teacher could modify the quiz settings to add a date on the "Show Correct Answers at" box, but many Canvas users find it easier to just mute the assignment until everyone has completed the quiz / assignment. When a quiz / assignment is muted, students will see this a message "Your Quiz has been muted". Muted quiz - assignment.png

I recommend that a quiz remain muted until everyone has completed the quiz. To mute the quiz or assignment, go to the pull down arrow next to the quiz / assignment name in Grades and select Mute Assignment

When everyone has taken the quiz / assignment, go back into Grades and Unmute. Be sure the quiz settings allow students to see their correct answers.
